Report on the Inauguration of the Natural Science Association – “Jeevadhara”

The inauguration of the Natural Science Association, aptly named “Jeevadhara”, was held on March 4, 2025, in the Seminar Hall of Mount Tabor Training College. The event marked the beginning of a new academic initiative aimed at fostering curiosity, awareness, and deeper understanding of the natural sciences among students.

The program commenced with a welcome address by the Association Coordinator, followed by an overview of the objectives and vision of “Jeevadhara.” The highlight of the day was the formal inauguration of the association by Dr. Sreejay R, Assistant Professor in Botany at St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. Sreejay R emphasized the importance of environmental consciousness, scientific thinking, and interdisciplinary learning. He encouraged students to engage actively with nature and to contribute to sustainability efforts through innovative and research-oriented approaches. His thought-provoking insights were highly appreciated by both faculty and students.

The event also featured a keynote session on “The Role of Natural Science in Sustainable Development”, followed by an interactive Q&A, where students raised enthusiastic questions about biodiversity, conservation, and scientific research opportunities.

“Jeevadhara” promises to be a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, workshops, nature explorations, and collaborative projects that celebrate and deepen the understanding of the natural world.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and a pledge by the members to uphold the values of inquiry, respect for nature, and scientific integrity.

August 04, Monday Today I took the lesson on the topic basic economic problems,what to produce,how to produce and whom to produce from  chapter 4- Basic economic problems and the economy . The lesson went good and rewarding. Today was a special day as the Hindi Department organised an poster making competition as a part of remembering the eminent poet Thulsi das. I have got an opportunity for monitor the activity. August 05, Tuesday  Today I taught about characteristics of economy and different types of economies.  The lesson went good. August 06, Wednesday  The lesson which I took was about the topic Economics - Ideologies and proponents- Western from the Unit 4,Basic economic problems and the economy.
